Reboot is the debut novel by Amy Tintera about a teen-aged girl who comes back to life after she is shot. It's kind of a mix between a zombie thriller and a teen romance. I haven't read the second novel in the series, but I'm sure it will be just as interesting.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs has been on my list of "To-Read" for quite some time. The author was inspired to write the tale by the strange and interesting photos that he began collecting at flea markets and antique stores. The photographs are all "real" although some were altered when they were taken. I really thought this was a clever idea for a story.
Man's Search for Meaning is by holocaust survivor and psychotherapist, Viktor Frankl. It is an inspiring study of the psychology of the survivor's of the concentration camps. I have read a lot of different stories about the holocaust, but I have never read one from this perspective. It has made me think a lot about how I live my life.
